I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai

5.0

Really enjoyed this book. Had an amazing amount of information on the Middle East and what young women and girls have to go through in order to be educated. Malala and her story are uplifting and one of perseverance for the sake of education. Her family, of which she writes about extensively, is a beautiful example of the types of families people of western civilizations have no clue about. Despite being shot in the face the only thing Malala strives for is furthering her education and making sure girls like her can do the same.
