A Brief History of Thought: A Philosophical Guide to Living by Luc Ferry

challenging informative reflective slow-paced

3.75

A starting point for anyone interested in philosophy. I never expected this books to be an easy read, after all, it tackles one difficult subject. I think it has its moments, some parts better explained than others, some more subjective than others, some faster, some slower. I think the writing is all over the place, but I think that might be a problem from translation as it was originally written in French and I read it in English.
This book was recommended to me by a friend and I think it's a good recommendation as it gives you a very succinct overview of philosophy. From then on, you can choose what you want you get deeper into and do follow up reading on.

The information is good, but the writing could be better.
