Mostly Harmless by Douglas Adams

I'm so angry right now. I cant believe that this great series could have such a sh*tty ending. I mean, what the actual hell?! I dont know where to begin. Okay so, turns out that Arthur and Trillian, two of the main characters, suddenly have a daughter that is incredibly annoying. All she does is hit people with rocks and scream. I dont know why she had to exist, specifically in a book that is supposedly the ending of a series.

Zaphod is nowhere to be found. I'll admit that he is not my favorite character, but some sort of conclusion would have been nice. The Guide itself suffers from some drastic and strange changes that, at the end, just sort of happen and go nowhere. During the previous book we followed Arthur and his new girlfriend, Fenchurch, in this one she literally disappear without a trace. And we get some space-time bullsh*t as an excuse. What was the point of the previous book is this was going to happen?

The plot is practically nonexistent in this "novel", if you can even call it that way. It's just a series of events that barely have any connection to each other happening. Its all over the place. And at the end, the very end of this series, all of the characters seemingly die, just like that. They just get vaporized and we are supposed to deal with that. What the actual f*ck?! It was later confirmed that they are not actually dead, but still.

In my mind the series ends at So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish. Now, if you excuse me, I'll go to state at the sun and that will hopefully delete this book from my brain.
