started reading this book with the intention of just familiarizing myself with the world of philosophy--at least on an introductory-level, and this book did just that and more (!). not only am i more familiar with the history of philosophy, the progression and key ideas, but the story itself outside of the philosophy lessons also honestly exceeded my expectations. it was fun,
had quite shocking plot twists
, and was overall a joy to read to the end. other than that, the main reason i think people look to read this book, the philosophy lessons, i'd say are well presented and not very dumbed down despite the book being intended for children. some chapters are very thought provoking and most are quite interesting. i think this is a book that everyone should read growing up.
