I can't get enough of this series. I have been waiting for what feels like forever for Miller's book. He's the young guy on the team that always runs his mouth. He's always got something to say, but deep down he's just an awkward guy with a secret. He let hockey control his life, eats, sleeps, breathes hockey and hasn't had time for anything else, especially women.
When he unintentionally insults Scout, he knows he has to make up for it and promises he will try hard to make it up to her so they can be friends. Scout doens't want to be friends with the guy she's crushed on for two years and doesn't even recognize her. She's seen him with his teammates every week for so long and he still didn't even know who she was.
Miller has a lot of groveling to do, and it was so fun watching him fall, little by little and chip away at the pieces of Scouts heart she guarded from him so he couldn't hurt her. Miller is the sweetest. He is just someone I want to wrap in a hug and never let go. I am so glad that we were able to see this other side of Miller, the one he keeps hidden for Scout (and us) it felt like a secret and I am so happy to be in on that.
I can't wait for more of this series because this group of friends feels like my own now!
