Shark Lady: The True Story of How Eugenie Clark Became the Ocean's Most Fearless Scientist by Jess Keating

5.0

I love Eugenie Clark. In fifth grade, I read Shark Lady by Ann McGovern and felt a strong kinship with this contemporary scientist. I kept track of her through the years as Igrew up, and was sad to see that she passed away a few years ago (though dying at ninety-two is nothing to sneeze at). Like many great lady scientists, not many people know her by name. I knew her because of my fierce love of sharks and reading.

This book is perfection. It is an outstanding dedication and introduction to one of the great scientists of our time. The art is beautiful and the book leaves young readers dying to learn more.
