La chica de Summer Hill by Jude Deveraux

3.0

I would like to begin by saying that I selected this book out of my love for Jane Austen. Jude Deveraux is a fair writer, but she isn't my favorite.

This book is not as clean as I'd like it to be. A nude man showering outside the door with a full view of ...well..everything! My, my, my. We do get right to business, don't we? But believe it or not, it's not a dramatic prelude to sex, but it sure could be if it had been set up just right.

The attraction between Tate and Casey is there. Some readers may claim that they can't see it, but I sure can. Like the story of Pride and Prejudice, the relationship between the two starts off the wrong foot and on a gross misunderstanding. Over time, the truth of things come to light and the two do admit their feelings for each other.

I believe this book has great potential, but I still say that Jane Austen's book is by far superior. (Sorry, Ms. Deveraux!)
