Cake Simple: Recipes for Bundt-Style Cakes from Classic Dark Chocolate to Luscious Lemon Basil by Christie Matheson, Alex Farnum

informative slow-paced

3.0

This book sells the simplicity and variability of bundt cakes, but I did not find it particularly inspiring. Many recipes felt too focused on being "grown-up" (nothing wrong with jars of Nutella and grocery store chocolate) rather than inspiring. For such a small book with a specific focus, it lacked pictures and details. Where's the history? What makes a good bundt pan? What makes a recipe better for a bundt than a layer cake? All that to say that I am definitely making a bundt cake this weekend.
