This book was a long-awaited 5 star read to round out the year. The first 2 parts of the book were good and kept my attention, but the last part (part 3, closure, and epilogue) is where everything came together in a really beautiful way. the way that Tsujimura plays with time in this story is expert and emotional and made for a completely original story. the timelines fit together like puzzle pieces, or a hug between the oldest of friends. single tear for the end of closure and on.
Graphic: Bullying
Minor: Alcoholism and Sexual assault
I couldn't add this as a tag, but the main character suffers from pretty crippling Agoraphobia. The SA is extremely brief and only implied late in the book, but it was sudden and a little out of pocket.
