"Mummies: Dried, Tanned, Sealed, Drained, Frozen, Embalmed, Stuffed, Wrapped, And Smoked...And We're Dead Serious" is an informative and fast-paced glance into the world of the past, as seen through mummies. The book does an effective job of addressing culture similarities and differences behind the purposes of mummification and goes a step further to discuss the different processes that are used for each type of mummy. A minor gripe is that once again, some of the information is out of date, and that part of the author's writing style required me to reread certain chunks to ensure that I was understanding it correctly.
