I wanted to like this so badly. I really did. For starters, I accidentally picked up this issue before realizing which number it was, but even if I had begun reading these in order I’m not sure the outcome of my opinion would have been any different.
The fact is, that these characters are not from MY Adventure Time. They don’t act like them, they don’t sound like them. I was confused about 80% of the time and I found the story pretty odd (even for AT) and hard to follow.
Also, what was up with all the incredible annoying footnotes for words? I mean, I understand that these books are geared towards children/teens but good grief. Why the thesaurus vomit? One or two definitions probably would have been fine, but more than that just breaks up the story entirely too much.
Ugh. Was not mathematical.
