As I said in one of my updates this series is like wrapping yourself in a soft comfortable blanket when the weather's chilled outside. You know what you're getting, the cast of characters while ever expanding are familiar old friends, the angst levels provide sufficient conflict without sending my heart into overdrive because I know everything will turn out fine in the end.

My only complaint, and it reared its head on several occasions, is that Sam didn't act like a 36 year old. I certainly didn't see him as Neil's older brother. And his behaviour with the kitchen was almost child like. In my head he was 25/26 tops.

That aside I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Lang Downs. I've got one more book to read, but I'm going to save that for another time.
