I really liked this story, and I particularly liked the couple. They had great chemistry together and their banter was top notch. Mason had my type humor so I enjoyed him as a character a lot. And their scenes together were pretty hot (p3gging anyone?!?). That said, I think there were some pacing issue, and I wish we had gotten to know the characters better. I feel like we get some semi-superficial version of them, and that might be because both are going through a lot, but it left me wanting to know more about them. I also disliked Xeni's family and how much of a push over she was when it came to them. She had every right to be upset, and I felt like her family was gaslighting her, and getting mad at her for being rightfully mad. I would have liked some groveling from her mother.
I enjoyed the audiobook, especially the Scottish accent.
