Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice
Did not finish book. Stopped at 56%.
Narration is wonderful...for the first few hours. But the book is a bit slow-paced and repetitive, so it exhausted me. Louis gave the image of an insufferable ponce...which is true enough. I tried not to cringe at Louis's recollections of his child-not-child-companion, and the vampires' choice of sustenance. Hearing their shenanigans out loud was an odd experience.
Personally, I would read this on my own to savor the angst. DNF'd halfway through to do just that--and watched the movie :) which was spectacular.
