This book needs more hype and I'm here to give it to you 🥳.

Disclaimer: if you're a fan of Bridgerton, Jane Austen, 1800s historical fiction with great imagery - this book was made FOR YOU PERIOD.

Let me begin with the trigger warnings (domestic abuse, SA), because I totally wasn't expecting it. It was not graphic/explicit, but it was described enough that anyone would understand what was going on. Usually with light hearted hist. fic. the plot twist is some dramatic mystery, but this is the first time I came across such heavy topics. It was done so beautifully though. Like imagine Bridgerton but a little heavy. ❤️

I'm gonna love this book forever. That's a fact. The characters are sooo lovable🥺❤️! The fmc is supposed to be 17 but you don't feel it, she's very mature and carries herself soo well. Not to mention I HAVE A BRAND NEW BOOKBOYFRIEND - Tom Sherborne 🥺🤩🤤🥵❤️😘. I shan't elaborate on him, because yall need to find out for yourselves🤭. I'd gatekeep him if I were evil, but I like to think I'm nice..I think 🤔. The slow burn was absolutely spectacular to the point where I freaked the hell out when the love interests realized they loved each other. Lol they didn't even kiss/touch at this point and I was jumping on my bed screaming at the top of my lungs 😅.

#qotd: Any Kdrama fans out here?? If you are, you know that moment when they just brush hands in a Kdrama and you're crying from excitement? This book will give you that feeling. Spicey romance is good, great even. But NOTHING compares to this 😭😭🥵🥵. The build up of chemistry and tensions to proclaiming love are other worldly unlike straight up spice imo 🥺❤️.

The one thing I didn't like were some tiny references to India trying to celebrate the culture... But to me it just felt a bit tone deaf.. like bro, it's the 1800s, India just got colonized remember?

Anyway, have I given this book enough to get it hyped?? 🙈
