I really liked this one. The concept is really interesting and there are some really scary, grotesque scenes. I really liked most of the characters, too. I will say, I don’t particularly like the way Kingfisher writes protagonist narrators (I’ve only read 2 books but they seem very similar to me) but that’s ok. This is a strong cosmic horror novel, imo, where you can’t fully understand the monsters or what exactly is going on.
Graphic: Body horror, Gore, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Alcohol
