Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

5.0

Amazing story. I really have nothing negative to say about this book. Interesting and distinctive characters, unexpected plot twist, great pacing, no unnecessary events or side-characters, everything was explained in the end and everything make complete sense - 5 stars well-deserved.

Sanderson is such an amazing writer because although with 5 mins into the book, everyone would have known the ending - Death of Steelheart, the story progression still kept us on the edge of our seats, wanting to find out how David managed to do it.

I had a lot of speculations myself about Steelheart's weakness, I honestly thought friendly fire was the way to go, but it wasn't! Although I didn't think "No fear" was a well-thought out weakness, I have to admit death by his own hand was a nice twist.

Regarding Megan, I had guessed she was an Epic.. and suspected that she was Firefight - Sanderson had left a lot of clues here, BUT I was absolutely shocked to learn that Prof was an Epic too! I did not see that coming, but it all makes perfect sense. Like I said, amazing story.
