What a satisfying ending to a nearly perfect trilogy!

Tissanah is one of the best MC I’ve ever read. She’s complex and honest; Max is broken and you just want to see him happy; and I found myself so conflicted over Aefe, and in the end you can’t help but want to root for them all.

The concept of “villain” was really interesting in this series. The Big Bad changes a lot in the series, and in the end I got a good sense of what the author was trying to convey.

The pacing is perfect imo too. Not too slow, not too fast, and an actual balance of story and character development. Vivid side characters, romance that feels well thought out (there is definitely some spice,  but it’s not the focus of the book). My only complaint is wanting to know more about the prison. IYKYK.

This series is one of my best reads of 2022.
