Rapture by Lauren Kate

1.0

One thing that fascinated me about this book, is how Daniel and Luce managed to be all romantic and lovey even when the world was literally coming to an end. They even managed to go on a semi-date. That has got to count for something.

I feel like they're all kissing Luce's ass. Dee even says once, "Drink up if you need to. Lucinda first." Seriously? Why? That was unrquired. Its like she's their queen and they go like, 'your highness, we shan't drink unless we have your blessing to do so'
Annoying.

The way this series ended was kind of predictable but not. There wasn't even a fight or anything between Luce and the others and Lucifer. They just talked . That was a bit boring, I was expecting more action than that. But then again, Lauren isn't exactly the action-type from what I deduced from this series. Maybe in other books its different but in this one, the lack of fighting was a negative point from me.

Spoiler

When it was said that Lucifer was Luce's first lover, I was shocked. That was one of the only times in this book that I was. I truly did not see it coming, nor the fact that she was an angel let alone an Archangel. From that point on, the rest was more obvious that I got bored. Actually, I got bored half way through the book. I'm really upset though, as I was hoping this one would turn out to be better.

And Gabbe and Molly's death! They didn't even give them a page of grieving. They died so suddenly, I had to re-read it to understand what just happened. It was out of nowhere and I didn't feel anything after they died. I didn't cry, tear up, or even gasp!

I am very disappointed but not surprised as the previous books were just as unsatisfying. I'm giving this a 1.5 stars.
