There is so much to say about this book that I can’t speak much of it at all. In indescribable ways, it is both hyper relatable, and also mind altering. It follows the downwards mental spiral of the main character, Esther, in a way unlike anything else. To make the mundane seem insane and the chaos of madness so cohesive and understandable is the beauty of Sylvia Plath.
Graphic: Suicidal thoughts, Suicide, Suicide attempt, and Sexual harassment
Moderate: Mental illness and Racism
