Scandinavian thrillers are always so good and this was also a good one. I didn't realise until half way through that this is the second in the Werner and Kørner series which may have explained more of the back story but I didn't feel as though I was at a disadvantage having not read the first as could follow the main characters story. Throughout the book there were a lot of different plots and side stories which helped to keep the suspense and mystery of the stories. However, I found all the different characters and storylines quite confusing and difficult to keep up with. I was unsure what Esther's story had to do with it unless it's part of the series all together.
