Body Work by Melissa Febos

Quick read. It can be read in a day. This book would be useful for someone thinking about writing a memoir. While the writer even says not all memoirs have trauma, this writer has primarily written about trauma. To that end, if your memoir has trauma, this book may also be worth referencing. Primary take away: undo the narrative that we’ve been taught about ourselves. I gave it a 3/5 because besides the above, I didn’t gain much else from it. However, I don’t think I am the intended audience for this book.
