Not for the Faint of Heart by Lex Croucher
3.75
This is the only book I’ve bought new all of 2024 (love you Lex Croucher), so fair to say I went into this one with high expectations.
I was a little disappointed by the pacing/shifts in tone throughout the novel. The start is very slow and then a lot happens over few pages near the end. Regardless, the characters were loveable, the relationships (romantic and platonic both) were very sweet, and the overall atmosphere of a forest romp in the way of robin hood was well built and enjoyable.

Graphic: Death, Medical content, Grief, Death of parent, and Fire/Fire injury
Moderate: Panic attacks/disorders, Violence, and Kidnapping
Minor: Transphobia
kidnapping: the kidnappee is kidnapped by teenagers her own age and overall it is a very low-stakes kidnapping
