Scandalous Secrets by Synithia Williams
3.0
Keeping in line with book one, Scandalous Secrets, gives some hardcore soap opera vibes: politics, unrequited love, ominous threat of an abusive ex, a kidnapping...
The story-telling was good, but I often felt as though the romance took a backseat to the angst of everything else. That was disappointment, as I really do enjoy the friends-to-lovers / second-chance romance tropes.

Moderate: Emotional abuse, Toxic relationship, and Kidnapping
Minor: Domestic abuse, Physical abuse, and Violence
