One Hit Away: A Memoir of Recovery by Jordan P. Barnes

4.0

Visceral, honest and inspiring. The author makes his journey through recovery accessible to all readers, whether or not they have personally passed through similar experiences. I appreciated that the book focused on the author's progress toward getting clean, so that the few times when he recounts his earlier experiences are hard-hitting without becoming over-whelming. Sometimes I had trouble following the timeline of events, but that is a minor criticism.
