It took me a while to read A Hero for Wondla, which sadly took away a chunk of my enjoyment. However, I really did like the new world Eva was put in and her experiences. She was around humans, not aliens and her actions and hesitation towards them were very realistic. The human world the author created is different from anything I've read before. Rather than being a dystopia, it was a utopia. The humans that reside are sheltered and are living the "perfect" life. What truly makes Eva stand out is that she has seen the outside world and knows what it is like to struggle in the dangers of it. I will say that we don't experience the human world for long, and are immediately thrust back into an action packed adventure once again.

The illustrations is obviously one of my favorite parts about the series and the sequel's illustrations were just as phenomenal. We are also introduced to more characters, allies as well as enemies. I did like them for the most part, however, there was one particular character that I felt was just shoved under the rug. There's not much exploration on her backstory, which seemed to be interesting. The outcome of her end, I found to be very peculiar. Overall, I enjoyed the adventure aspect and had a lot of fun reading the sequel.
