Honestly, I went in thinking that this book would be overhyped. I've seen snippets of SJM's fae stories and I really did not like what I saw so I was skeptical coming into this book also based around Fae.
But damn was I wrong I devoured this book in under 2 days. And I only took 2 days because I made the terrible decision to begin reading this at night and I had to force myself to stop so that I could go to sleep and wake up for work the next day. This book was so accessible for those like me who are new to Fae stories. The lore is laid out a bit at a time, without being over complicated and overwhelming. I loved that our main character is also a little bit nasty and somewhat morally grey herself. Every character was interesting and kept me hooked throughout the entire book I loved this so much.
