Trouble is My Business by Raymond Chandler

5.0

Short but satisfying offerings of quintessential Chandler flavour: smoky noir, gritty streets, hard punches, smart talking a la Marlowe. Chandler is remarkable for his tireless energy, his unique, ineffable narrative voice that is part wit, part romanticism, shop-soiled and chivalrous. Every story is differently plotted, but is unmistakably his, variations on themes, voice and all, and so much better for it.

Reread, as sparkling as ever.
