I knew from the blurb that I am not part of the intended audience for this book. I was pretty sure it would be ridiculous - and it was. In a fun way. Although some of the informal language used in dialogue and narration made me feel positively ancient, I loved the focus Weston put on the historical shame of menstruation and the casual sexism of some of the older generation. I felt empowered and am really looking forward to hearing a 15 yo reader's take. Was it trying too hard to be both funny and political?
