A Time to Kill by John Grisham

4.0

It's more of a 3.75 but I rounded it up. It starts off really strong, at least for me, but about halfway through we get bogged down by a lot of unnecessary stories about characters that don't particularly make a difference by the end of the book (see the Grand Jury) and with some we don't meet again. What about Ellen? Was that it?

It was an interesting read overall, but it could have been shorter. I think it falls into the "Is it that serious?" long book category.
