The Plotters by Un-Su Kim

3.0

If you want to get a glimpse at South Korea in early 2000s with all the corruption and gangs, read this one.

I think this book tells a story of Korea that is not known by many..

In general book wasn't bad and it had quite interesting parts. However there were also lots of details and political aspects that were not fully discussed and it seemed like lots of knots were left untied at the end. there is lots of explanation about mechanics of The Plotters and how the system worked, instead of telling the actual story. As a result, while reading instead of becoming part of the book and being absorbed by it, reader just replies on the visual aspect; it's all describing and visualizing, like we are viewers, and not readers.

Still, the growth of the character was interesting and I liked to see Reseng's relationship with the sisters.

I would have preferred to be given more actual plot parts.
