I picked this up at a free little library in the neighborhood because it sounded vaguely familiar (the buzz must've cut through somewhere / somehow). I had no expectations and really enjoyed the read! It's an interesting tale of family relationships and boundaries, especially considering values and careers. I especially enjoyed the core plot of the book, about the main character's sense of self and feeling torn across two cultures and value systems. As a bonus, I learned a lot about Puerto Rico historically and politically!
