This was way more lighthearted than Saints and Misfits, and I feel like the book suffered for it. The book was fun, and I'm happy that faith-positive Muslim books are finding an audience, but I am of the opinion that Saints and Misfits didn't really need a sequel.
There were way too many characters, so no one experienced noticeable growth. The plot line also dragged on and on- you really needed to love these characters in order to love this book. And I just didn't.
Overall, it had some fun parts but was bogged down by lack of character depth and a slow plot.
