Ok, this would be two stars, except for the fact that the writing was so good.

This is one of the most plausible dystopian stores I have ever read. The voice was good, the writing was good. It was creepy in several places, with some voodoo that bothered me. And there was no hope at the end, which bothered me even more. I wish I would have admired the cover and left it on the shelf.

Anyway, kudos to the writer for writing a good ol' depressing book.
