A book i first read as a lonely teen. A book i reread now, years later, shortly before graduating highschools. It was the perfect time, for the second time. It broke my heart and stitched it back together. As a young queer teen, in love with their best friend, not having learned how to grief and wishing nothing more than to vanish, it hit me. And it showed me a future. As someone with photos and postcards to put on my pinwall, that future feels more tangible than ever. 
This book had a lasting impact on me, and it will forever mean something.
