The Royal Tenenbaums: A Screenplay by Owen Wilson, Wes Anderson

5.0

I’m not an expert on screenplays in any case, but nevertheless I feel pretty secure in saying that this is a great one.
I wasn’t surprised that I loved it; The Royal Tenenbaums is my favourite film. Still, reading it was a completely new experience.
It felt like I was discovering something new as much as it felt like coming home.

The script was written by Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson, and while I can’t say much about Owen Wilson’s influence on all this, partly due to the fact that he hasn’t directed any films, I can say that Wes Anderson writes scripts like he directs films.
The attention to detail is incredible. Readying it feels like you’re stepping into this different world that only Wes Anderson films take place in, where all the colours are prettier and the music is always good, and every character is extraordinary.

I love this screenplay; it’s very good.

You should read it.
