I absolutely agree with someone else's review that this is a book about race, not a book about immigration.
There were a few stories that gave me new information and showed me a different experience to the ones usually represented already in the media/blogs/books on race, but they were few and far between.
But this wasn't what I was looking for. This should have been a book about immigrants and of these there are so many different nationalities, etc who also experience a very different life to the regular local - that would have been something I would have loved to read.
