City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert

Enjoyed this more than I expected, considering I didn't love "Eat, Pray, Love". The characterizations were beautifully done, and I felt for the emotional turmoil of there lives. It did feel a bit disjointed in parts, almost like it should have been two separate books that were pushed together. Wrapping it in the "letter to a friend's daughter" box limited it in this sense, and there were times I was wondering why Vivian would choose to include this part of her life. Overall, though, I felt gripped and invested throughout.
