Emily Windsnap and the Pirate Prince by Liz Kessler

adventurous funny inspiring lighthearted reflective

4.5

I actually really liked this one! I thought the pirate plot was so interesting and that a lot of mature growth went on in this book. Emily grapples with what what people want her to be versus what she actually is/wants to be herself.
I also thought the way that Emily and Aaron ended their relationship so maturely was so interesting and good for young kids to read considering how young the characters actually are.
I wish that there was a little more of Shona but she did play a pretty decent role in the story.
