This book was so good!
I liked almost everything about this book. I liked the way it was set in a dystopian future where everything is perfect, but at the same time it's not. That even in a perfect world everything is not as prefect as they may seem. It was interesting to read about the scythe process and also how the scythes came to be. I also liked how the book criticises things that are problems right now, like corrupt governments and shortages. I thought it was interesting how this book handled the concept of death in the "future", that they don't worry too much about it because there is such a small chance of them actually dying and if they accidentally died they could be revived. It was a cool way of looking at how the future could be and it really made me think.

The characters were also pretty good. I liked that you got to see from the perspectives of Citra and Rowan during the process of becoming a scythe. It was interesting to see their character development throughout the book and it was how they reacted to it themselves and to each others. I also thought it was fun to read the short journal entries between chapters, it really gave you more insight to how some characters thought and it also gave you some more backstory. The writing style was also very good! Oh, and I am definitely going to read the rest of this series!

What I didn't like was that some times it was a bit slow paced and it took a while to get to the action, which was a bit boring. But other than that it was good.
