A mix of genres, debut author Katie Gutierrez combines thriller, historical fiction and contemporary drama. This was a little longer than I anticipated but always made me question and raise my eyebrow the more invested I became. We really do get a sense of how some women take their lives into their own chance, which is what Dolores “Lore” does. I will say, I was a little confused about a certain breakup that happens because I personally didn’t think they made sense anyway.
