I Am Someone Else: Poems about Pretending by Lee Bennett Hopkins, Chris Hsu

*Read for Poetry for Children and Young Adults class*
This is a very fun collection of poems about pretending to be someone or something else. The illustrations were colorful and vibrant. They definitely make the poems come to life. I think kids can definitely relate to the experiences of imagining to be someone else, whether it be for a career they think they might want to have in the future or an imaginary creature. I would definitely recommend this poetry collection for children.
