Hallowe'en Party by Agatha Christie

3.0

This book is perfect for Halloween as it's casually horrifying... Pretty standard Poirot, but in a town that is basically like "this crime is motivated by sexual frustration/deviance" or "kids these days" or "whoever did it can't really be held responsible for their actions". And... I guess the murder victim was an obnoxious liar no one liked sooooo no one actually cares why she died???

Well then.

But, I can't say I didn't enjoy it. It just felt a bit like a parody by how insistent everyone but Poirot was on the motive.
