The Teeny-Weeny Unicorn by Shawn Harris

adventurous fast-paced

5.0

Teeny-weeny unicorn is SO SMALL!!  Being small makes him feel sad, but then he discovers a gnome who calls him a giant, reminding us all that there are many different perspectives.  We are all big, we are all small but most importantly we are all the right size.

I found this book to be hilarious, because of all the “big kid” humor (I didn’t want to say adult humor, because of the double entendres….).  The gnome specifically speaks in a way that would be funny to older people, but I’m not sure a kid would understand it.

But also, many kid’s tv shows include this type of humor and they are still awesome.

I liked this book a lot!!

Dedication: For Vanessa Jo, my little sister.

First sentence: Once upon a time, in a land where horses were mythical beasts, found only in the pages of books for children, it was common to see a unicorn.
