This book is a mystery/horror book.

TW: Gore. Murder.

Following a group of six college students. They received a note on February 1st - before they head out for one of their housemates. All six go out and enjoy themselves as much as they can after the note spooked them. They all head home except for one of their housemates. After not hearing from him, 2 of the housemates (the MC and her crush) found him dead. Receiving another note, the housemates are the center of attention of a murderer.

This book was really good. It was definitely geared to YA, but I still like some YA books. The mystery of who the killer was had me second guessing who I thought it was as I read more. First, I thought it was person A. Then, I was reading more, convincing myself it was person B. The more I read, the more I read it was person C, but that was long lived and was back to person B. It was person D the whole time, someone I wasn't expecting. Like holy twist. However, the reasoning was subpar, like it wasn't the reason for murdering people I wanted.

I do have to say the cops/detectives suck in this book. There are too many times notes or packages that have been delivered. There are too many times the friends left or were taken without the cops knowing. Too many people lost their lives because of the cops not doing their jobs correctly. But hey, it is a book.
