I support Noemí's rights and Noemí's wrongs.

This is a lovely gothic horror story wrapped up in a big sentient house bow, which is coincidentally two of my favourite things. It details the journey that Noemí Taboada takes to help her cousin Catalina who has sent a very strange letter to her after getting married pretty quickly to some guy that nobody knows.

Noemí visits Catalina's new home and discovers her situation is even worse than she could have guessed; her husband is a pervy, aggressive brute packaged in a slimy smile, her father in law is DISGUSTING and the lady of the house makes me want to rip my hair out. It's been ages since I've had such a visceral reaction to characters and I love it!

This story was so interesting; it had me absolutely GAGGED at some points (you'll know what I mean if you read it). I enjoyed the twists and turns and callbacks to the beginning of the story as I tend to be someone that uncovers things AS the main characters do, so everything that happened was WILD to me.

It is a little bit slow at the beginning, but the vibes and writing more than make up for it.
