“I like when you do things for yourself, and when you push yourself even though you’re worried or nervous or scared.”

Hannah Nielsen is a bookstore owner in Queen’s Cove, but as Hannah gets closer and closer to her thirtieth birthday, she starts to look at herself and wants to change. She wants to be braver, be able to chose herself, and after finding an embarrassing video online of Wyatt Rhodes she decides to ask him for ”hot girl lessons”.

Wyatt Rhodes is a surfer, wanting to go pro. However, it’s hard to find sponsors when he isn’t on social media. When shy Hannah asks him for a favor, and offers to run his social media he doesn’t pass up. Helping Hannah gain confidence in herself, and small little homework shouldn’t be too hard.

I preferred this romance to Emmett and Avery. Hannah and Wyatt’s relationship felt a bit more natural. They got to know each other, and once they got to know each other their feelings developed. I don’t have a lot to say about this book, or the series in general (even if I have only read half so far) but it’s an easy romance series. Nothing too deep, but not rom-com (my personal opinion, since they are technically marketed as rom-com).

Tropes:
