Hideaway by Nora Roberts

slow-paced

3.0

Cate Sullivan is kidnapped at a family get together at Big Sur when she is 10 years old. She manages to escape, but the fallout and aftermath of this affects her for the rest of her life.

The story follows Cate at she grows up and things that happen in her life still link back to that day. The Sullivans are a great, supportive family (well apart from one of them) and are always there for her.

I loved Dillon's character. He was very well written - a down to earth and charming young man who knew how to treat women right. I think that had a lot to do with growing up with his lovely Mother and Grandmother.

This was my first Nora Roberts read and it wasn't bad. Although I feel it could have been a little shorter.
