Hollow Heathens by Nicole Fiorina

5.0

Top 5 read of the year for me. Absolutely PERFECT. The Halloween vibes were immaculate. Everything about it made me feel like I was transported to the magical town of Weeping Hollow.

Fallon has always felt like an outcast and when she receives a letter from her grandfather and last remaining relative requesting her to Weeping Hollow for his failing health, she packs up and moves.

What she doesn't know is that she's a witch, though her magic is dormant. When she arrives in the town the real truth of her family's history is uncovered.

Fallon must be careful of those in the town seeking her power, and she should be careful of the Hollow Heathens, four cursed witches who cannot show their faces without imparting instant death.

She finds herself drawn to the one with the silver eyes, Julian, even though she cannot ever see his whole face. She's supposed to be banned from interacting with him but they can't stop each other.

They both realize there are greater forces at play with their attraction, and despite what the town thinks, they are destined for each other and perhaps the key to breaking the curse of the Hollow Heathens.
