One of the most beautifully heart breaking books I’ve ever read disguised as a horror novel. What begins as horror/suspense in a fantastical way begins to run parallel with a very real and tangible suspense of a different kind. The parable Conor’s monster comes to teach is one we could all use at some point in our lives and the very real human moments throughout only drive home the weight of the books ending.
